Pride Month had this Queer Owned Bakery busy with The Gay Donut!

With your help, we catered Gay Donuts to over 200 Pride Events in New York City, sent over 500 Bite Boxes throughout the country, and - most importantly - donated 5k to The Queer Food Fund. This is a mutual aid effort hosted by the Queer Food Foundation to support Black Queer and Trans folks facing food insecurity. QFF supports our small, queer owned bakery in so many ways so it was really special for us to help them help the community.

Where did you see Bite’s Gay Donut in June?! In addition to weekly Smorgasburg, we were on Broadway, with sports teams, news organizations, museums, schools + universities, bars, production companies, sooo many offices, your friends house, and MORE! It was so much fun to see The Gay Donut in action and spreading so much joy.

We even had a major corporation screw us over in the name of Pride and performative alliship! It was really not fun, but it felt like a right of passage! But, that’s some tea for another post, y’all.
We wanted to thank you all so much, from the bottom of our Gay Donut hearts for all of your love and support of The Gay Donut as it’s grown! A reminder that we’re Queer All

Year! Our Gay Donut is always available, and always donating money to Queer charities. It killed us as a small business to have to hit capacity a few times, and it would be amazing if you kept our little donut in mind outside of June, as well.
Here’s to the next one!

Peace, love, and mini donuts!
