Hi! We’re B + Sam! We’re cousins and we own this mini donut business together. It’s been a wild ride. Here’s the story - 

Our love and passion for baking started early on with our grandmother and translated into adulthood. It was something that always brought us together. The magic began when a mini donut maker was accidentally left at Bethany's apartment one day. We, naturally, smoked some pot and made way too many tiny donuts. In an effort to get rid of them, we gave them to everyone we knew. But then people wanted more.  First, an office party. Then, a birthday gift. Next thing we knew, we were being booked throughout New York City and Bite was officially established in 2019. 

Our Bites were noticed early on by the Broadway community and we collaborated on dozens of customs catering orders with menus and flavors inspired by each show. Because of the fun and customizable nature of our Bites, we were quickly booked for private and corporate events throughout NYC. We were delivering upwards of 2k mini donuts to offices like Google, YouTube, Kate Spade, the NBA, Fendi, movie sets, Vox Media, and more. We were making custom flavors for weddings and huge life moments. 

In 2020, our business was one of the thousands that was hugely hit. After temporarily ceasing operations, we began delivering donut care packages directly to customers in NYC. This led to the development of our custom packaging for Bite Boxes and our community rallying around us during a successful Kickstarter project.

In 2022, we completed our first season as a Smorgasburg vendor in Prospect Park and World Trade Center. We launched our signature, The Gay Donut, and raised 2k for the Ali Forney Center in NYC. We also moved into our first shared commercial space at Nimbus Kitchen in Downtown Brooklyn. We’re still a super small operation primarily run by cousins B + Sam, but we were able to hire some help too. 

Now, BITE offers dessert catering and delivery in NYC. We specialize in beautiful, baked mini donuts with an artisan twist and we always have seasonal and holiday menus. We love to do custom dessert orders for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, film/art/book/theater events, corporate parties, employee recognition, client appreciation, or (our favorite) “just because.” We do fun pop-ups, on-site events, and collaborations.  If you visit us at Smorgasburg, you’ll find new flavors weekly, but always our signature, “The Gay Donut.”

We’re growing and learning and expanding and so grateful to our community and fans who have always supported this little mini donut business’s mini donut dreams. We hope that our tiny treats make you a fraction of how happy you make us. Let’s see what’s next!
