BITE Mini Donuts Made 50k Gay Donuts for Pride Month!

Pride Month had this Queer Owned Bakery busy with The Gay Donut! This rainbow donut has become our staple flavor, and a staple as a Pride-themed dessert for Pride Parties and events in NYC and beyond. We felt very fortunate to have the support and enthusiasm of so many friends and fans. Our small business even hit capacity for chunks of the month! With your help, we catered Gay Donuts to over 200 Pride Events in New York City, sent over 500 Bite Boxes throughout the country, and - most importantly - donated 5k to The Queer Food Fund. This is a mutual aid effort hosted by the Queer Food Foundation to support Black Queer and Trans folks facing food insecurity....

Custom mini donuts for A Strange Loop, Tony Winner for Best Musical Bites are Back on Broadway! This time we're taking on the most recent winner of the Tony for Best Musical, A Strange Loop! We're HUGE fans of this incredible show, and were simply over the moon to create these custom desserts for the cast + crew for the Lyceum Theatre in NYC! If you haven't seen it yet (what are you waiting for?) it coins itself as a "Big, Black, Queer-Ass American Broadway Show" and tackles themes from the queer experience, to racism in entertainment, to generational trauma - all while nodding to Grindr, poppers, and so many other gay NYC references. Pride Month with The Gay Donut!

Well, June has come and gone which means that we made it through Pride Month! While we're proud to be Queer All Year, our Gay Donut was busyyy as the unofficial Pride dessert of New York City. Here are some re-caps:  20,748: We made almost 21,000 Gay Donuts! Read that again. Can you even imagine that many Pride desserts?! We couldn't, that's for sure.
